It doesn’t matter what type of fishing or boating you do, a reliable and intuitive combination chartplotter and fishfinder has become a necessity.  Whether it’s to find that next fishing hot spot or for navigational ease of mind, having a good GPS on board is important.  Adding to our METS announcements this year, we introduce the new GPSMAP 800 and 1000 series.

GPSMAP1040xs_HR_506.3Available in a sonar or non-sonar version, the GPSMAP 800 and 1000 series have large, vibrant 8-inch and 10-inch displays, respectively.  This series is very user friendly but also packs a powerful punch when it comes to features.

If finding fish is your thing, our xs series comes with built-in 1kW traditional sonar, CHIRP, and DownVü capability. The GPSMAP 800 and 1000 series also supports our new SideVü scanning sonar when coupled with a GCV 10.  You’ll get incredible, near-picture quality of what’s below your boat.

If all you want to do is get from ‘Point A’ to ‘Point B’, then our non-sonar 800 and 1000 series is best.  The keyed interface helps you accurately choose and mark your destination and any stops you want to make along the way.  And with a pre-loaded worldwide basemap or US coastal and inland lake cartography, there’s no limit to where you can go and what you can do.

With added radar and networking capabilities, the GPSMAP 800 and 1000 series is truly versatile for whatever it is that you do on the water.  For more information about the GPSMAP 800 and 1000 series and everything you need to know about all our METS announcements, click here.  Happy boating!
