Garmin sponsored Middlesbrough FC release this season's new kit

01

Here is the stunning new adidas home strip Boro will wear as they look to bounce back to the Premier League at the first attempt.  Modelled by star defenders David Wheater and Tony McMahon, the 2009-10 strip features a white sash on both sides of a red shirt plus the famous adidas stripes down both shoulders.

It will be the first time for a decade that Boro have worn white shorts, while white socks make a comeback for the first time since the unforgettable 1995-96 season when Juninho made his first appearance at the new Riverside Stadium.

20 The team also wore white socks when Boro last carried adidas branding back in 1982-83.
Shirts are available in a choice of short-sleeved and long-sleeved for the first time in many years.
Boro are confident the kit’s design, feel and technology will prove a big hit with fans.

The shirts feature adidas Climacool fabric, an integrated system of technologies to regulate the wearer’s body temperature, take sweat away from the body and allow air to circulate close to the skin.
Terry Boland, Boro’s Head of Retail, said: “We are sure fans will be delighted not only with the design that adidas have produced but by the outstanding quality of the kit too”

The new kit will be available exclusively to Season Card holders from Wednesday July 1 – but pre-orders can be made by all supporters from tomorrow (June 19) in both MFC Official stores and on-line via www.mfcofficialdirect.co.uk.

Supporters who pre-order from either club store will be able to take advantage of a priority collection service at both outlets.

Pre-orders made in-store by Season Card holders will be available for collection from the store in which the order was placed on July 1. All other pre-orders will be available on July 3.

Online pre-orders from Season Card holders will be delivered by post on  July 1. General sale on-line pre-orders will be delivered on July 3.

The kit will be launched at both MFC Official club stores at 9.30am on July 1, with general sale from 9.30am on Friday July 3. 2008-09 Season Cards must be produced at the point of purchase on July 1 and 2.

Store opening times are 9.30am to 7pm.

Shirt prices are as follows: Adults (XS-XXL) £40 short-sleeved, £45 long-sleeved. Youths (8-10 yrs & 11-12 yrs) £35 short-sleeved, £38 long-sleeved.

Shorts for adults are £20, youths £15. Socks are £9 adults and £8 children.

Business end of Premier League fast approaching

Alves GAZETTE1 Pogatetz GAZETTE With the business end of the Premier League fast approaching, Garmin sponsored Middlesbrough are heading into some colossal fixtures over the coming weeks.

This Saturday sees the visit of Wigan Athletic to the Riverside Stadium. A great opportunity for Boro to move on from the positive performance at West Ham United in the FA Cup last week where Boro were minutes away from advancing into the Quarter Finals. The timely return to goal scoring form of Stewart Downing is massively important for the success of the team. Good luck on Saturday lads!! For any visiting fans don't forget to download the location of all football stadiums to your Garmin Sat Nav ahead of this weekends fixtures.

The following week doesn't get any easier either. With the visit of title chasing Liverpool to the Riverside and the midweek FA Cup replay against West Ham United. Although both sides have been experiencing a slight change in fortunes recently they will both provide stern opposition for Gareth Southgates men. Team Garmin will be glued to the TV screens on Wednesday 25th February cheering Boro on as they hope for another great cup run to rival previous years. ITV have chosen this fixture for live coverage so we'll be cheering from a far at HQ in Southampton.

Garmin Girls on Tour for Cancer Fundraising

Recently the team Garmin Girls took to the snowy roads along with associates from Amazon, Thames IT and C2K for a fashion fundraising event at Middlesbrough Football Club.

Cancer

The event was hosted to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Care and consisted of a fashion show with models from Middlesbrough's premier league football team. The likes of Tuncay and Wheater took to the catwalk and then Manager Gareth Southgate helped get proceedings underway for the charity auction. More than £2,000 was raised on the night and all monies will go towards helping people with cancer.

The Garminator comes to town

Garmin is pleased to announce the launch of its community education project in association with Middlesbrough FC.  The project consists of  an educational DVD which offers children marketing tasks to help them understand a real-life working business model.  The challenges, presented by members of the Garmin team's comedy alter-egos, offer the children a choice of which type of task they are to undertake.

Garmin Goes into the Community with Middlesbrough FC

Middlesbrough_01Thursday 27th November sees Middlesbrough Football Club stars Tuncay Sanli and David Wheater take time out from their training schedule to help Garmin launch a new educational community initiative.

Team Garmin have produced an educational DVD for the Tees Valley area, which sees them play a starring role, providing fun and practical learning challenges for children.  The DVD offers children a chance to learn real-world business skills whilst using their imaginations and working to achieve specific outcomes.

The DVD launch will be accompanied by a sports skills workshop for a local primary school with the football stars.  The skills session will see children from St Edward's RC Primary school using Garmin Forerunner 50 watches to learn about health and fitness.

Sometimes getting to the game is more of a challenge than playing

Header_footballstadiums Whether its a netball, ice hockey or football team, the Team of the Week radio promotion running across the country continues to provide us some great stories as people try their best to get hold of a Garmin Sat Nav for their club.

Brookvilla's problems when missing a ferry due to a team joker changing the clocks, or the Milton Keynes U10 Ice Hockey team parents airing their view on why they deserve a Garmin to get them around the country are just two of the great tales we've come across. But its not too late for you to enter your team in for the chance to become Team of the Week and win a Garmin sat nav.

Simply visit the link below and select your nearest radio station and enter your team into this great competition. Each week the team of week will be introduced on air and given the chance to win a Garmin sat nav - as some times getting to the game is more difficult than taking part.

Garmin-sponsored Middlesbrough FC record an impressive away victory at Aston Villa

BoroYesterday Middlesbrough FC, as sponsored by Garmin, recorded a very impressive away victory at high-flying Aston Villa.

This was Aston Villa's first Premier League home defeat of the season and further confirmed that Boro's season is definitely one that is promising a great finish.

Tuncay scored twice on the day meaning that Middlesbrough are now very much in the running for one of the coveted UEFA Cup places.

A quarter of the football season now complete for Garmin-sponsored Middlesbrough FC

Middlesbrough_01With a quarter of the English Premier League season now complete, Garmin-sponsored Middlesbrough are sitting in a respectable 8th position.  The highlight of the season so far was the two-nil win over Manchester City - otherwise known as "the richest club in the world".

Middlesbrough next play this Sunday when travel to high-flying Aston Villa.  Mido, Middlesbrough leading scorer this season will be looking to add to his current tally of five goals.

Middlesbrough continue fine start to season

Mc039_alves Alfonso Alves kicked off his goalscoring for the new season with a 25 yard thunderbolt of a freekick as Middlesbrough were taken to the wire by newly promoted Stoke City.

Despite being down to ten man, following Faye's sending off, Stoke continued to thwart Middlesbrough's onslaughts. With ten minutes to go they even looked like salvaging a hard earned draw following new signing Justin Hoyte's own goal which cancelled out Alves earlier strike.  Thankfully the Turkish Braveheart Tuncay Sanli was in the right place at the right time to ensure Boro took all three points and confirm Boro's best start to a season for some time.

One other piece of news to note, Middlesbrough were drawn away to the mighty Manchester United in the 3rd Round of the Carling Cup. Another massive test for Southgate and his men as they challenge on all fronts this season.
