When we introduced our first portable in-car navigation device in 1998, the Garmin StreetPilot GPS was considered lightweight,weighing about a pound. Much has happened since then and today's nüvi devices are not only much lighter but also offer more advanced navigation features, such as traffic rerouting, natural "Real Directions," lane guidance and even parking information.
