This page will be the best and quickest way to look up the status of Garmin Connect. Here are the possible status updates for each category in Garmin Connect:
If the status is either "Limited" or "Down" an explanation will be provided on the exact issue we are encountering.
In addition to the status page, there will be a banner on Garmin Connect Modern and Garmin Connect Classic if Garmin Connect is having any issues. Here is an example of what this will look like on Garmin Connect Modern:

Also, we are working to correct the MyFitnessPal sync issues as soon as possible. Once it is restored, we will update the status page and Garmin Connect banner and sync both the current day and going back to backfill all of the missing data.
