Gear Guy Bob Parks over at Outside Magazine took a first look at our new outdoor watch, the Garmin fēnix, and he has a lot of good things to say about it. He not only took it out on the trail, but also mapped a hiking route in Garmin Adventures and tried out the fitness features. Parks points out how the fēnix takes it to the next level in terms of GPS watches:

"At one point, wrist watches only told the time. Then they got onboard GPS, and started tracking your position. The next stage is maps—even on a tiny screen—which were super helpful by providing context when navigating in the wilderness."
