Garmin-sponsored pro takes 1st at Billfish Classic

IMAG0074 (2) The Mississippi Billfish Classic is widely known as the premier billfish tournament event in the entire Gulf of Mexico, and this year's event was a huge success for Garmin-sponsored pro angler, Bill Platt, and his team who took first place in the Wahoo division. Congratulations to Team Papotanic who landed a spot in the winner's circle with their 68.4-pound winning catch! Team Papatonic's 36-foot Invincible is rigged with the latest in Garmin electronics, including dual GPSMAP 7212s, a GMR 604xHD open-array and a GSD22 sounder (lovingly referred to by the team as their "bottom machine"). Captain Bill wrote in to share the news with us this week and left us with this huge compliment: "Wow, what a tournament to win! Couldn't have done it without Garmin's support and the best electronics out there!" Thanks, Bill and good luck at your next tournament!
