Wish List Wednesday: Best gifts for drivers and talkers

Wish-List-Wednesday It's Wednesday and that means it's time for Wish List Wednesday -- the column that helps you find the perfect Garmin gift for that special someone. Previous posts have covered pilots, boaters, and fitness fanatics, so today we have some ideas for those who like to drive and talk. And who doesn't fall into that category?!

First up is the nüvi 1690 that comes with nüLink! connected services, which is real-time data like traffic, fuel prices, weather, Google local search, white pages and more. You get all this nüLink! content for free for the first two years, and this content takes your GPS experience to the next level. According to PC World, "if you're a fan of the Garmin navigation experience, the added nüLink! connected services will only enhance the experience." We cover all of the 1690's features on our interactive demo. Cf-md

For those looking for an entry level device, we recommend the nüvi 1200. This navigator easily fits into your pocket and won't stretch your wallet either. In addition to giving turn-by-turn, voice prompted directions, like "turn right on main street", you can also download cityXplorer content to help you navigate a city on foot using the local public transportation system.

If the person on your list doesn't regularly use a car, but would still appreciate navigation, check out our all -in-one GPS phone, the nüvifone G60, or you can turn the phone you have into a Garmin navigator with Garmin Mobile.
