Chicago Store: 405s have arrived!

IcstorethumbnailRunning_clubIf you were unable to visit the Garmin booth during last week’s Boston Marathon and become one of the lucky folks to be the first to own the Forerunner 405, visit (or call) the Garmin store in Chicago! We have both the black and sage green color options of the 405 with the heart rate monitors in-stock and available for purchase. Unfortunately, if you want the versions without the heart rate monitors, you will have to wait a few more weeks before they are available. The store is offering group training sessions on the Forerunner 405 every Saturday morning at 11am after the weekly Garmin Running Club.

Forerunner405blackcfThe Garmin Running Club meets at the store every Saturday morning at 8 am and leads groups of runners on either a 3, 5, or 7-mile run along Chicago’s lake front running path. Runners can trial Garmin Forerunner products on a first-come, first-serve basis, as well as enjoy light refreshments after the runs. All runners of all levels are welcome to participate. See you there!

The only difference in the regional versions of the 405 would be the AC charging adapters that are included. So, if you purchase a 405 in Europe, it can serve as your trusty running partner in the States or anywhere else travel takes you.

What is the difference between USA/Europe/Pacific models? I live
in Europe and travel frequently to USA. Planing to buy one from webshop in United States so I am concerned about functionality of USA model in Europe.

Could you please clarify difference between them.

I would just like to say what a great bit of kit the Garmin Forerunner 405 is.
Ive had mine for one week and loved every minute of running with it.
A must for all Runners, keep up the good work garmin.
Yours faithfully
Tony Lindfield.

Too often superior service goes unappreciated. I recently damaged my beloved Garmin GPS device and sought help from product support. What a pleasant surprise - a friendly, knowledgable and efficient person guided me through. The repair was accomplished with little effort on my part; detailed instructions were provided to send the device for repair and I received it back in only a few day. What a great product and group of support personnel. Thanks to all.

Bought mine through REI online last week. Very impressed with the 405 so far! I like that I can actually wear it to work and not have people gawk at the size.
