Ready to listen, nüvi 800 series comes with speech recognition

Nuvi_8xxcfEver feel like no one in your car actually cares about what you say? Fear no more. There's a nü family of nüvis, and they're all ears. The nüvi 800 series, led by the nüvi 880 with the second generation of MSN Direct, can take you from start to finish through your spoken commands. Just touch the button on the handy remote control (it can wrap around your steering wheel or emergency brake), and nüvi is listening and responding to everything that you say. Whether you want to "go home" or wonder "where's the nearest barbecue," nüvi has the solution without your hands ever leaving the wheel. While some devices only respond to a handful of phrases, nüvi can listen and help from departure to destination.

And about that dynamic content from MSN Direct - the second generation adds stock listings, headline news, local events and enhanced movie listings to the already reliable traffic alerts and weather information. For a sneak peek at the nüvi 880 in action, watch this introductory video. To learn more about the nüvi 800 family, click here or visit our booth #35832 at CES in Las Vegas. We'll be looking for you, and nüvi will be listening.
