Hundreds of geocachers and outdoor enthusiasts found shelter from Seattle's snowflakes and raindrops on Saturday, only to eagerly head back out into the elements. Such is the draw of Wherigo and the new Colorado 400t. Continuing what we first saw in Vegas and hope to experience next weekend in San Jose, More than 300 curious cachers came to REI to test-drive Wherigo and the 400t. As a bonus, Garmin and Groundspeak (the geocaching gurus) brought a few limited-edition Colorado/Wherigo geocoins. About 20 lucky winners heard their numbers called during the raffle. Everyone else was encouraged to keep an eye on the Garmin blog and Wherigo.com for more special events and promotions. And before you know it, a coin might show up unannounced at a cache near you. Stay tuned, and enjoy these scenes from Seattle.

If Marky gets a cool coin for being the first to purchase a 400t from REI San Jose (and I think he should get a coin for that! ;-) ), then I hope Tasmania, Australia has some coins magically appear in caches as we have no hope of seeing a real live Colorado or get a visit from Signal the Frog!

Looking forward to seeing you guys in San Jose this weekend. Don't you think I deserve one of those cool geocoins since I was the first person to buy a 400t from REI San Jose? :)

Thanks Garmin, Groundspeak, and REI for showing off the latest and greatest in GPS technology as well as an overview of WHERIGO (The cookies were pretty good also!)
This GPS is incredible. If I did not have a 76CSx I would run out and buy one today.

We had a great time at the event today! We've played with Wherigo on a ppc, but it was really neat to play with it on the Colorado!! It played great, and the Colorado unit felt nice in my hands and we loved the Rock-n-Roller!! We took a quick peak at the Geocaching screen, and seeing the cache descriptions on there was just awesome!! I see a purchase in our not too distant future. It was nice to meet you! Sorry for bugging you about getting a coin, but if you haven't learned by now, us geocoin addicts are a crazy and frenzied bunch!!! Hope you enjoyed your visit to Seattle!
