Roger's Runway: Expounding on Expo

RogersrunwayAll pilots in the northeast must have read my post about Thursday’s opening day at AOPA Expo being a little less crowded than usual because our booth was full during the final two days of the show. Many people stopped by the booth after purchasing a new Garmin portable aviation unit from a dealer. These smart individuals took advantage of the rebate, plus they received a live demonstration about their new purchase.  The live demos are great for customers and us. Customers learn a few tricks about their new Garmin GPS, and we get to keep tabs on what features you think should be added in the future. We also talked to numerous pilots who said they had done the WAAS upgrade for their GNS 430/530 and have flown an LPV approach. Those pilots were spreading the news about the enormous benefit of WAAS approaches. We wholeheartedly agree!

AOPA Expo was our last big aviation trade show for the year, but we’re already planning for 2008. If you weren’t able to make it to any of the large aviation trade shows this year, but you still want to hear about your Garmin GPS first-hand, check out our online seminar schedule. We have a slew of seminars coming up, and there’s a very good chance that we’ll be at your neighborhood airport soon.
