Taking the Edge on Tour

Tourfinish You don't have to be a professional cyclist to enjoy the many features of the Edge 305, and you don't have to be a world-class athlete to already have the Edge 705 on your wish list. And yet, having the chance to see these elite pros in action helps you appreciate the immense amount of data pulsing through a GPS-enabled computer the size of a cell phone.

Tuesday marked the start of the inaugural Tour of Missouri. More than 100 cyclists lined up in Kansas City's Country Club Plaza ready to span the state and challenge each other, and Garmin was there in several forms. In person, we were cheering on the athletes and meeting cycling enthusiasts from all parts of the globe. In spirit, we were on the bikes of cyclists and fans alike in the form of the Edge 305, poised to track and store fundamental data such as speed, time, distance, altitude and heart rate. Comments:

Robert,
If you are purchasing your Edge online from a Garmin authorized dealer and you're interested in the 305 with heart rate, the model # is 010-00447-20. If you'd like the version with heart rate and cadence, the model # is 010-00447-30. If purchasing from a retail store, the packaging will note if it comes with heart rate, cadence or both. Note that not all dealers carry all versions of the 305. Here's the link to our product page listing the available versions:

Thanks for the question and good luck with your new Edge!

I am ready to purchase Garmins Edge 305 cycling computer. But I am not sure if the item I am looking at has the heartrate monitor or not. Your website states that only some models come with it. How can I be sure what I am ordering? Thanks
