Garmin Honored with Prestigious Award

Ifmlogo The Institute of Transport Management recently awarded Garmin with the prestigious honor of "Innovation in Fleet Management 2007." What does this mean, you might ask? Well it's actually very neat. As the ITM seeks to find intelligently linked traffic systems, this award has been independently accredited after three months of undercover research by the ITM, as they looked for GPS solutions available to motorists and fleet operators.  Based on studying target organizations within Customer Service, with the key factor being the customer's experience, Garmin was then selected over and above this due to our technological advancements within the organization and the improvements we have made within the navigation. Some of these areas included: reliability of products, presentation of product, cost effectiveness, applicability of GPS solutions to the general public as well as commercial organizations, and brand awareness.

Commenting on the award, Patrick Sheedy, ITM's Media and PR Director said, "The Feelt Manager is becoming increasingly dependent upon technology to operate a successful fleet. Support for this technology is paramount to successful operations, and customer service from the supplier is a key element. In it's findings, the Institute's fleet research team found the levels of customer service and satisfaction at Garmin to be of the highest in the entire fleet sector. Customer service is always key in the list of criteria outlined in overall success and Garmin more than excelled in this area."
