Chet's Corner: Mac Training Center

Featurechetscorner_1_4_10

I'm sorry that I didn't post yesterday but Garmin Man was up late last night putting the finishing touches on the downloadable version of Garmin Training Center for Mac and I had to stand in for him.  Hey, someone's gotta be second in line to fight off the evil Map-o-saurus when Garmin Man is otherwise engaged.  It's a tough job, but I feel it's the least I can do.  Of course, his shiny silver suit may say it's one-size-fits-all, but we all know what that means.  I just do the job in street clothes.  Anyway, you can now download the Mac version of Training Center from our website while it's still hot. Get it here.

Thanks for finally providing this update. Please consider adding the following to future versions:
1. "New activity" capability as provided on the pc version--If the battery goes dead or you just didn't have your Garmin with you on a run, it's nice to be able to add distance and time data to the history.
2. Weekly mileage data as provided on the pc version--Right now, the Mac version only has daily totals and a cumulative total.
3. Smoother graphs as on the pc version.

4. The capability to get instantaneous pace on the graph slider as provided in the pc version. Thanks.--Frank

Installing now!!! Thank you for making Training Center available for Mac!

This was looooooong wait. But thanks for making this one for real and realizing that Apple is not just about iPods.

Yay! Thank you Garmin for supporting the Mac platform. It's long overdue. I recently purchased a new Forerunner 305 because I read the Training Center software was ready for Mac. I'm very glad to see if finally arrive. I look forward to Garmin's future Mac software development. So, when will we Mac users be seeing a compatible version of MapSource software?
