Garmin Guides Newest Navy Submarine

Ssn775logoPtgpsmap478lflgA couple of alert readers have pointed us to an article in USA Today on the debut of the USS Texas, a next-generation fast-attack class nuclear powered submarine.  The sub is at the zenith of high-tech... so OF COURSE it uses a Garmin!  Take a look at the article's accompanying photo, and you'll see a GPSMAP 276, 376, or 478 (we're not sure which) mounted on the windscreen.  Garmin doesn't have any military contracts, so we're guessing one of the sailors decided to outfit the sub with the unit on his own.  At any rate, we're proud to be on the Navy's newest boat!
