In case you weren't aware, Kansas is the cartographic center of the universe.  It's well known that the geographic center of North America is Lebanon, Kansas.  What's more, the geodetic center of the U.S. is situated near Osborne, Kansas (basically the "ground zero" for cartographers and surveyors).  And now, according to a recent article in Wired Magazine (note the pic of the eTrex), the default "zoomed in" location of Google Maps is the idyllic hamlet of Coffeyville, Kansas.  The default zoom on Google Earth?  Yep, Kansas again -- this time Lawrence, home of the KU Jayhawks and one of the lead Google Earth programmers.  And, as we all know, Garmin International is conveniently headquartered in Olathe, Kansas.  Coincidence? We think NOT.

So load up the Family Truckster this summer and visit... according to Garmin's MapSource City Navigator software, you could leave from Garmin and visit each and every one of these geo-attractions in just 771 miles -- or 14 hours, 42 minutes, and 18 seconds.  Potty breaks not included.
